Cookie Policy – Ibiza Yachts for Rent

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This page explains, plainly, what happens inside your browser when you visit elarboldelaspalabras.es to look at our yachts or send us an enquiry. It covers browser storage, our own visit counter, and the handful of outside services the page calls on to display properly. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].

Storage used on this site

Cookie notice flag (local storage)
Remembers that you have seen and closed our cookie notice, so it does not reappear. Stored in your browser's local storage until you clear it yourself.
Selected yacht (session storage)
Remembers which yacht you clicked on, so the enquiry form can be pre-filled with the right boat. Stored in session storage and deleted automatically when you close the tab or submit the form.
Visit identifiers (local storage)
A random visitor identifier and a random session identifier, used only by our own visit counter. Stored in local storage for 30 days from your last visit, then it expires.
Google Fonts (Google)
Loads the typefaces used on the page. This is a direct request from your browser to Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address. No cookie is placed for us.
intl-tel-input via jsDelivr
Loads the library that formats the phone number field in our enquiry forms. Your browser requests it from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives your IP address. No cookie is placed for us.

What exactly are we talking about?

When you visit a website, your browser can be asked to hold small pieces of information, either sent back to the server on every request or kept locally on your device for the site to read later. Legally, the Spanish rules on information society services (Law 34/2002, Article 22.2) treat all of these the same way, whatever label is used: traditional cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar device-based storage. We use that broad sense here.

Does Ibiza Yachts for Rent set cookies?

No. The site itself does not set a single cookie, and we have installed no third-party analytics service, advertising network or social-media tracker of any kind.

We do run our own visit counter, written and served from our own domain, with no outside analytics company involved. It records which pages were viewed, time spent on a page, the site that referred you, any campaign tag in the link you followed (such as a UTM parameter or an ad click identifier), your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not kept. If you send an enquiry or tap a phone or WhatsApp link, that action is linked to the same visit so we know which channel brought you to us, nothing more.

That visit counter relies on the local-storage identifiers described below, not on cookies.

What sits in your browser's storage?

Three small entries, all first-party, meaning they come only from us:

  • a flag confirming you closed the cookie notice, kept in local storage until you clear it;
  • a note of the yacht you clicked on, kept in session storage only for the length of your visit, so the enquiry form can be pre-filled, deleted the moment you close the tab or send the form;
  • two random identifiers used by our visit counter, kept in local storage for 30 days after your last visit and then automatically erased.

None of these three entries contains your name, email, phone number or any other contact detail.

Which outside services do we call on, and what do they see?

Two external resources are loaded directly by your browser so the page displays and works correctly: Google Fonts, for the typefaces, and the intl-tel-input library, delivered through the jsDelivr network, for the phone field in our forms. In both cases your browser connects straight to that provider's servers to fetch the file, so the provider sees your IP address as a normal consequence of that request. Neither of them sets a cookie on our behalf, and we receive no data back from them about you.

The WhatsApp buttons on the site work differently again: nothing is set on our site when the page loads. Only once you actually click the button does your browser open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message; from that point the conversation runs entirely inside WhatsApp, under Meta's own privacy terms, not ours.

How do you stay in control, and what happens if this changes?

You can clear local storage and session storage at any time through your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data; doing so removes the cookie-notice flag, the yacht selection and the visit identifiers described above, and our site will simply start a fresh visit the next time you return. Most browsers also let you block local storage for specific sites if you prefer not to be measured at all, which will not stop you from browsing or sending us an enquiry.

If we ever introduce a cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary for the site to function, such as an advertising or analytics cookie from a third party, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before it is set, as required under Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002. Questions about this policy, or about how we handle your data more generally, can be sent to [email protected]. If you believe we are not meeting our obligations, you may also contact the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos at www.aepd.es.
